Option 1: The Nantahala Whitewater Rafting half-day trip is great for families and couples with its class II and III rapids and is one of America’s most popular whitewater runs! The professional guides will take care of your group through the entire experience to ensure your safety and memories. Participants will cover 8 miles on the river taking approximately 2 hours on the water. Departs at either 10:00 am or 2:00 pm daily.
Option 2: The French Broad Whitewater Rafting half-day takes you down the world's third oldest river and flows through scenic Pisgah National Forest in the mountains of North Carolina. For rafters age 8 and above, the half-day French Broad option offers a fun and splashy, five-mile river ride on Class II-III whitewater. Departs at 2:00 pm daily.

Both rafting choices are the same price so after booking inform us through email of your preferred river, preferred date, and preferred time and we will arrange everything prior to your arrival.
Each river trip departs from its dedicated outpost. NOC DOES NOT RECOMMEND USING MAPQUEST/GOOGLE MAPS or even AAA TRIP TIX and NAVIGATION DEVICES. They are all prone to lead you on long drives, out of the way of your destination.
Trips on the Nantahala River begin and end at our Main Campus on the Nantahala River. This outpost is located in far Western North Carolina on US Highway 19, From the cabins drive west on highway 74 and continue approximately 12 miles west of Bryson City, on the south side of Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
All French Broad River trips depart from our French Broad River Outpost, located between Weaverville, NC and Hot Springs, NC. The outpost is 25 miles NW of Asheville, NC, and 75 miles E of Gatlinburg, TN.
